Bell Atlantic Applauds ST Efforts in Recent Project

BLOOMFIELD, NJ – August 1, 1999 – A Surround Technologies consulting team was instrumental in performing the Year 2000 assessment remediation and compliance testing for Bell Atlantic's Network Operations Results Database, NORD.

Led by Surround Technologies CEO and Partner, Lee Paul, the ST team was praised by Bell Atlantic's NORD Project Leader, Larry Kiersh.

"Lee and his team did an amazing job assembling all of the compliance information into the NORD Y2K Binders," Kiersh said.

Paul, who has several years of experience in Program Management, explained, "The assessment of the LANSA code repository was very complex. We used our Year 2000 Strategy for LANSA Applications to analyze the NORD repository and programs, as well as the international LANSA database. By using our Year 2000 assessment programs and LANSA's impact analysis tool, we were able to identify all the suspect data elements and program logic."

"We were blurry-eyed looking at all that data and code," Paul added. "We adhered to all Bell Atlantic's strict Y2K compliance requirements and assembled all the information onto a CD-ROM, in addition to providing project summaries and project sign-offs into 2-inch binders.
