Freight Management Systems Launched in Boston, MA

BOSTON, MA – May 8, 1999 – Surround Technologies LLC launched their new product, Freight Management Systems (FMS) at the North American Truck Show last month.

FMS is a suite of applications for the shipping industry that allows users to easily maintain customer databases, establish and update shipping orders, manage personnel and driver trips, handle dispatch operations, track equipment inventory and maintenance, and more.

"We built FMS with the small- to mid-sized fleet owner in mind," ST CEO and Partner Lee Paul announced. "We spent two years developing this program so that small- and mid-sized companies could be as efficient as the big guys."

Lee continued: "Our most recent version of FMS, built in Visual LANSA, is easy to learn and easy to use for the end user. Its point-and-click applications were well received by the industry. There is a lot of competition for software in the trucking industry, but our clients tell us that no other package is as easy as the FMS application."

Surround Technologies LLC adds the Visual LANSA version of FMS to their growing lists of products and services, which includes Personnel Management Systems, released in April 1999, and Universal Work With Development Tool, released in February 1999.
