November 14th Observation Aligns with Company Principles
BLOOMFIELD, NJ –November 7, 2006 – Surround Technologies today announces its support for World Usability Day 2006, as well as its membership in the Usability Professionals Association (UPA), the founding organization behind it. Long an ardent champion of improving User Interfaces to enhance Business Productivity through its software development tools and services, Surround Technology found it only natural to back both the Association and World Usability Day.
Surround CEO Lee Paul sees an important synergy in the alignment, “While most of our Software and Services are directed at accelerating in-house Developers, a primary benefit and our chief focus is in enhancing the productivity of the eventual End Users. It is our major differentiator and we believe there are tremendous gains to be made on behalf of Users, and in turn, the business productivity and profitability of their Employer.” The company’s common mission with the UPA and World Usability Day led Surround to lend its support.
World Usability Day 2006, observed globally on Tuesday, November 14th, is the second annual edition and has more than 135 events in 35 countries currently planned. Dedicated to raising awareness of the benefits of usability engineering and user centered design, the day’s theme this year is “Making Life Easy!” Surround encourages people everywhere to learn more at www.worldusabilityday.org.
